1960′s Fireboat SaIvage, 14 Industrial Spotlight Crouse Hinds, Aluminum & Glass. This vintage, nautical spotlight was salvaged from a 1960 fireboat in Baltimore, Maryland. With a sleek, aluminum housing and reeded lens, this industrial spotlight is full of function and style. The light was manufactured by Crouse Hinds and has a cool, urban industrial look for your loft, boat, commercial or living space. This light has a cast aluminum housing with a convex 13 1/2 diameter finely cross-reeded Pyrex brand diffuser lens fixed inside of a hinged lens ring, held in place by 4 dogs. The entire unit is coated in marine grade metallic paint. Behind the floodlight bulb, a highly polished reflector is mounted inside the housing. The light is mounted to a steel yoke that can pivot up, down, and side to side. A handle used to position the light beam is mounted at the top of the housing. The circular, 16 1/2 diameter, aluminum spoked base supporting the yoke has 5 mounting holes. A long cord extends from the back of the housing. Make/Model: Crouse Hinds, Model HL-P 913. Condition: Excellent salvaged condition. Sturdy construction, glass intact, all original parts. The wiring has not been tested and may need replacement. History: This light was salvaged from the Mayor J Harold Grady, a 6000 GPM (gallon per minute) fireboat built in 1960, serving Baltimore, Maryland, from 1961 until it was decommissioned in 2007. This fireboat and items from it are featured on Season 10, Episode 8, of the Diy Network show, “Salvage Dawgs”. Weight & Measurements: 34 lbs. 17.5(L) x 17(W) x 23.5(H).
