These use 400 watt high pressure sodium bulbs (included). These bulbs burn much brighter than a standard bulb of equal wattage. Sodium bulbs are frequently rated at 20,000 hours +. These bulbs came in the housing so we don’t know how many hours they have. Easily replaced when that time comes. The lights were used in a government facility until replaced with LED lighting. If you examine the electronics you’ll see that these components are virtually bulletproof. Should last for decades. Please note that the facility bypassed the electronic eye light sensor so the lights are wired directly to your source switch, meaning they’ll come on day or night on a timer or with the flip of a switch if wired directly to the switch. These will work perfectly and are FULLY GUARANTEED to do so. These measure 36″ L x 16″ W x 12 T and weigh 45 lbs. They mount onto a 1.5-2 pole.
